THE ESPADÍN RITUAL

ENJOY MONTELOBOSTHEWAYIT WAS MEANTTO BE ENJOYED.

According to Mexican tradition, drinking agave-based spirits with homemade salts and seasonal fruits enhances the spirit. Our Custom Salt Serve is a tribute to the traditional combination of orange slices and chile salt, the perfect fusion of our regional cuisine and unique terroir of our spirit.

Montelobos Espadín was created to enhance the complex, yet perfect balance of the four basic flavors in artisanal mezcal: green agave, cooked agave, smoke and wild fermentation. The artisanal salt highlights the green agave and smoke.

The perfect combination of Espadín mezcal is:

  • With avocado salt and green or yellow tomatoes to bring out the herbaceous notes of green agave from the wild and fresh cut grass.
  • With hibiscus salt and red tomatoes to bring out the earthy, ashy, smoky notes of firewood.
